Congratulations Sharon/Sujata and Gina/Sakula!! On receiving Theravada Buddhist precepts as a Dhammacari (ordained lay Buddhist teacher) from Bhante Piyananda at Dharma Vijaya Temple in Los Angeles on Vesak/May 10th.
It’s a recognition of your accomplishment on following Buddha’s path, a commitment to being a good person for yourself and others, and accepting a role where you can lead as a Buddhist teacher.
